Almost bought some poly outer sleeve protectors, but think I still have a roll of them not in use and until I find them, not gonna buy more, and will wait until AFTER I've moved and get things unpacked, but did want to begin replacing some of the paper sleeves ASAP. I also bought a book, and a DVD while at it. In that order, I also bought a fresh stylus for my Shure M97圎 as it's very much due a fresh styli. Interesting that this thread got dug up today as I JUST placed an order with Amazon yesterday for 4 items and one of them is the MSFL rice/poly inner sleeves, the same ones that the Library of Congress also uses (supposedly) for the same $20 price, fulfilled by Amazon if I'm right but sold by a seller. If you are interested, this seller is also on (italian) ebay and it seems he ships internationally (at least to Europe): Generally, after washing any of my 7inch singles, i put it into one of these paper/plastic bags and then i put this paper/plastic bag (with the record inside) into the above external plastic bag together with the original cover as this inner bag doesn't fit into the original 7inch sleeve. White paper inner sleeves (with holes) with plastic inside but for 7inch singles (100 for 10,90€):
this transparent inner bag fits perfectly into the original (printed) inner sleeve.Įxternal bags for 7inch singles (100 for 6,50€): i use these ones anytime a record has a printed inner sleeve.
These bags are quite thick and robust (not too different in thickness than the ones you may usually find on some Japanese/Korean vinyl records and, IMO, even better than those ones as these tend to stay flat much more easily when you handle them). Transparent plastic inner sleeves (100 for 12,99€): I use these to simply replace an old/dirty white inner sleeve without thinking it twice. White paper inner sleeves (with holes) with plastic inside (100 for 19,90€): These are quite thin but very transparent and robust and, after all, they do work nicely in keeping the whole album clean and to avoid the loss of colour on the sleeve from ringwear. and they are quite cheap items but they do work fine.Įxternal open/close bags with adhesive strip (100 bags for 10,90€): I use to buy three different kinds of items to store my vinyl records (five, really).
